Winning streak

In 1996 I was in Northampton UK, a member of the Stakis Casino. I've never been a big gambler but the benefits of overseas work allowed for such things.

In total I went there a handful of times, but one night stood out like a sore thumb.

I couldn't lose. Every hand was a winner. I had three staff surround me watching me to ensure I wasn't cheating. And I wasn't. I just couldn't lose. I remember being dizzy with the excitement. Rather awesome.

I left with in excess of £1000. My lack of courage prevented the amount from being, well, what it could have been. And I bought a PlayStation, went on a few trips, etc.

Good times.
