Two ways

There are two ways to discern reality. Both are natural, and both are required.

Science is the epitome of one of these ways. Viewing the universe as an external observer, measuring, testing, validating. One is able to break down the external universe into tiny pieces, literally and in understanding, in order to build a working understanding of the universe from the bottom up. Humanity is currently in its singularity with regards to this way to discern reality. Knowledge acquisition is expanding exponentially.

The second way is to go within. To discern the reality of oneself. To transform oneself, eliminating contradictions and correcting any self delusions rising from undeveloped and unchecked ego. To become. To be.

As an Omnist I recognise that any tool that respects and honours the Golden Rule is quite suitable for the job. To reiterate: I recommend atheism+science+GR.

This provides a view of the universe from the top down.

Meet in the middle.

The Christianity Equation

Back in mid 1999 I experienced Gnosis. Enlightenment. At the end of a bong. I wasn’t looking for it. I wasn’t interested. I’d spent much of my youth extricating myself from Christianity and had no impetus to take on another belief system (which this isn’t, but still I wasn’t interested).
